The award-winning duo Bettman & Halpin performs a fresh and enduring combination of Americana, folk and bluegrass. The perfect blending of Stephanie Bettman’s angelic voice and exquisite fiddle playing with Luke Halpin’s adept musicality on mandolin, fiddle, and banjo result in mesmerizing performances filled with irresistible lyrics, transcendent harmonies and roof-raising instrumentals. The duo weaves masterful storytelling into their live shows, taking audiences on a heartfelt journey. Living Out Loud Los Angeles writes, “Every song hijacks your heart and takes you through an emotional ride. The chemistry that Bettman & Halpin have on stage is genuine. Their performance was a breath of fresh air.”

Stephanie Bettman is an accomplished writer, singer, and fiddler: her lyrics are infused with wit and wisdom, poetry and insight. Vocally she draws comparison to the soaring soprano of Joan Baez and the plaintive emotion of Emmylou Harris. Her fiddling, which combines elements of bluegrass and jazz, is inspired by such masters as Stephane Grappelli, Byron Berline and Johnny Gimble.

Luke Halpin is a renowned multi-instrumentalist. A master of the guitar and the mandolin, impressive on fiddle, banjo, and adroit at nearly anything he picks up. He draws inspiration from the likes of Sam Bush, Mark O’Connor and Tony Rice and holds his own in comparison. A dynamic and sensitive vocalist himself, the harmony blend he and Stephanie achieve is sublime. Luke has a long history in the music biz, having shared the stage with Merle Haggard, Lone Star and The Steve Miller Band. His quirky sense of humor is a perfect foil to Stephanie's dry witty presence.

Their passion for music and performance is only surpassed by their love of community engagement—at home and on the road—they illustrate the power of music to transform.
